The lure of the west brought Dani to Colorado in the early 1980's where she's worked in regional industries including ski, bike and computers. Growing up in Iowa, she was fascinated by art, animals, and especially horses. Dani spent many hours dreaming about and drawing horses, and when she was 12 she politely wrote the White House asking for one of the miniature horses that were bestowed upon John John and Caroline. Sadly, they wrote back stating the horses were no longer there. When Dani's job was outsourced, another door opened. She's now pursuing her dream of combining art with her love of nature. Mainly self taught, when Dani takes a photo and the result is perfect she leaves the image as is. However, enjoys the creative option of digitally enhancing her photos to achieve different effects, and combining several images together to make completely different compositions. Often availing themselves as models are Dani's own three horses, dog and cat. Dani also assists with children's horse classes and is certified in equine sports massage therapy. "This is the most rewarding work I have ever done, and sharing this experience is one of my biggest thrills." More of Dani's work can be seen at
