Janet Larsen

Janet Larsen has been drawing and painting for her own enjoyment for as long as she can remember. She gets a lot of her inspiration from the long walks and hikes she takes both near her home in Loveland, Colorado, and in such places as the Galapagos, the Andes, the Swiss Alps, New Zealand, and Nepal.

Janet sometimes wonders if she is a painter who likes to hike, or a hiker who likes to paint.

In her paintings she strives to capture the beauty and peace of the natural world as she has experienced it, as well as the feeling of awe and wonder she gets when she is immersed in nature.

According to Janet, art, like life, is a journey, a road to discovery, so she continues learning as an artist, seeking to improve the way she does art, and the way she sees the world around her.
